Anyone want to be part of a recipe exchange?

A friend sent sent me a recipe exchange email, but since she sent it to all of our mutual friends who cook (which is 90% of my local friends) I'm kind of stuck for who to sent this to other than my family.

All I need is an email (pm me) and I'll BCC it.

Doesn't that sound horrid? I just don't have a lot of local friends who cook much (lots of bachelors and non-foodies in my circle, I guess....) and the ones who do... already got this. Sigh.

This is what I got from my friend:

Hi everyone!
This is a recipe exchange. Please send a recipe to only the person whose name is listed in the number 1 position.

1.PERSON 1 (Email)

2. Person 2 (email)



Then copy this into a new e-mail & put MY name into the #1 position and YOUR name into the #2 position.

Only your name & my name should appear on the list.

Send this e-mail to at least 8 of your friends.

This is fun, but if you cannot send this within 5 or so days please let me know so it will be fair to those participating. I will then just send it to another friend who likes to cook. You should receive over 36 recipes. It will also be fun to see where these recipes come from. Seldom does anyone drop out because we can all use new recipes. The turn around time is fast because there are only 2 names on the list.

how do you get 36 recipes with only two on the list?

? I'm not sure I said anything about 36 recipes; just 8 is what I'm expecting....

8. The math doesn't work

If I send it to 8 people and they each send it to 8 people, by the time my name is at the top, I should get 64 new recipes. To get 36 recipes, the email must have originally said to send it to 6 people. Last time I did this, I sent a recipe and sent the email to friends. I never got any recipes.

7. I got one of those last month

I asked everyone in my address book if they wanted to participate, I only got 3 yes answers, so I emailed the sender and told her to find someone else.
