Other than DU, which other political boards do you visit?

I've had it with the red state/southern state bigotry here at DU and am looking for some other place to visit. I just can't handle any more of the arrogance, hatred and hypocrisy of many of the blue state posters.......wonder what happened to the "big tent"...must have just been a slogan.

1. This place has taken a really ugly turn lately, hasn't it?

I expected some nastiness if we lost the election, but I also figured it would pass and people would get on with life sooner or later. No sign of that happening, though.

It's gotten so that much of what's posted on this board is just sheer kneejerk hate, endless spews and rants against whatever group of people doesn't meet some bitter malcontent's high standards. Mention anything having to do with, say, religion, and the thread quickly devolves into the sort of thing one would expect to find at Free Republic.

The whole obsession with the red state/blue state thing really mystifies me, because it is a media oversimplification that vastly exaggerates the strength of the Republicans and the weakness of the Democrats, yet some people here are absolutely wild about it. Go figure.

If anyone could recommend some other good boards, I'm also interested.

2. It's unbelievable how nasty isn't gotten

I come here to get a reprieve from some of the nonsense of having to live in a conservative state and then end up getting trashed cause I live in a southern red state....f... that. I'm sick of the bigotry shown by some of these caring, compassionate blue state posters...their hypocrisy overwhelms me. Hopefully, their views don't represent the views of the DNC...if so, we will never win another national election.
