1. Congratulations!
You'll love it! Be sure to post about what apps you love or find particularly useful.

I want to put in a plug for iAnnotate. I know a lot of people prefer GoodReader as their PDF viewer, but I suspect that's because you can search the web and also view video with it. If you want to annote PDFs, however, use iAnnoate. I've been using it since day 1 and it is by far and away my most useful app. I did an entire textbook review on my iPad using Pages and iAnnotate back in May and it worked out great.

2. It will be early July before it will arrive, I can hardly wait.
Now that I am retired, I don't need productivity apps. My goal is to be unproductive. Things like Real Racing HD, and Skee Ball will be more to my liking.

Next month I will buy a case.

4. Sweetheart, I've been on the dark side since I told my big
sister there's no Santa Claus. She's seventy years old and still holds a grudge.

5. I did something very bad...
my grandson asked if Santa Claus existed. I said "He exists as much as Jesus does". The wife was not amused.

generation.

I give Kerouac's "On The Road" to all high school grads in our family. That's not only a great American novel, it is subversive in that it shows an America where adventure was still possible.

7. As it is not my direct child...
I try to keep my atheism at a distance. But I don't want the child to come back in 15 years and say "you lied to me". I have never endorsed the belief of santa or jesus.

8. Yeah, I put the two together at an early age. Chose Santa
because some poor dude nailed to the cross is not going to bring you presents. Actually, it was that and the whole thing seemed silly to me. The things they did made no sense. Yeah they dressed funny, had soft hands like the dentist, and had wine on their breath, just like the dentist.

9. i was delusional...
up until just a few years ago. But a lot of why I held on to my belief was to believe I would one day again see my mother. She died on thanksgiving day when i was 13, and I had to be strong because I had two younger sisters who looked up to me, plus I was a male and my father was male and had to be strong to hold it all together. I really wish I could see her again, but I know I never will. I am a bit tipsy, i hope my post made sense.

10. I don't think I ever really bought into the idea.
Your post made sense. I'm not going to reread what I wrote last night. A friend gave me a brownie for my arthritis. I probably said some weird shit. Slept well for a change.
