I have transferred a bunch of software from my old box. The migrate tool is very nice.

BTW I got the 2 gig model.

1. Cool, enjoy
and you should be able to get Leopard if you so wish. It is after they announced officially the release

;-)

3. I LOVE my Mac Mini
I bought the first model they released.

I am not typing this on it though, because I lent it to somebody. If he likes it, he'll buy it for his mom, and I'll get to buy a brand new Mini.

But a major reason I was able to get an electricity bill down to $16.00 a month was using a Mini instead of the hog I'm typing this on now.

When I get a new Mini, I will be getting the 2GB model as well.

5. Until I switched, I was using a G4 450 Duo. The lights would dim
when I booted up that sucker. ;)

9. Brings back memories of my having to wait five minutes
for my Photoshop 5.5 to boot up on my Quadra!

I'm still using the Photoshop, too, on my partitioned OS9 drive--they want $350 for an upgrade.

4. For next Christmas, I plan to get a nice refurbished one

I'd be getting an all-in-one, but I couldn't stand the thought of another year with my 800x600 tube monitor. So I got a 1400x900 LCD and joined the Flat Screen Society.

P.S. Thanks to Other World Computing, you can squeeze in an additional gig of RAM into the MacMini!

6. I am going to buy a flat screen soon, but I have to get a new
water heater and mattress first.

7. I *just* bought a 24" LCD for my Mini.
I got a Samsung that is so bright, I'm getting a tan.

It works awesome, and is running at 1920x1200.

Can't wait to see Leopard on it on Monday. (My copy is stuck in the shipping and receiving department!)
