Print alignment problem with iPhoto. Not centered photos.
Edited on Thu Jul-27-06 09:28 PM by Touchdown
Borderless photos come out in the corner with a white border on 2 sides. 8X10 and 5X7s come out not centered, where they are closer to one edge than the other. I see nothing in the HP help or iPhoto where I can adjust this, or reset it. Any help?

1. dude...
a little help here...

iPhoto version?
OS Version?
Printer?

How are the printed output when you choose an option other than borderless.

To save photo paper, during this experimentation, instead of printing, select 'Preview' (in the print dialog). Preview will give you a 'preview' of you printed output.

go into Page Setup and select the printer and the correct paper size.
go to the Print Dialog and select the printer, paper, and style (contact sheet, full page ...etc)

...i'm here to help.

2. Oops. iPhoto 6, OSX 10.4, HP driver (up to date)

Intel DC iMac 20".

Preview shows borderless. Sampler, 2 5X7s, 8X10, all are centered in preview, but close to top edge on printout.
EDIT: Default paper type is US Letter, or Borderless 8 1/2 X 11, neither option makes a difference.

More. HP's print program (not imageZone) comes out perfect. Aperture 1.1 comes out perfect, Photoshop Elements comes out close to the top edge, but it always has in the past, and this is the 3rd Mac I've used it on (PSE 2).

As far as I can tell, iPhoto 6 is the first iPhoto that can print borderless. I've had 1, 2 & 5, none of them had a borderless option on the drop down. I assumed that would be known.

Not by my Mac right now, but I'll look at it this evening.:hi:
