Is anyone else disturbed by this?
From yesterday's Boston Globe fellation:

Before beginning the drive, Mitt Romney put Seamus, the family's hulking Irish setter, in a dog carrier and attached it to the station wagon's roof rack. He'd built a windshield for the carrier, to make the ride more comfortable for the dog.

Then Romney put his boys on notice: He would be making predetermined stops for gas, and that was it.

The ride was largely what you'd expect with five brothers, ages 13 and under, packed into a wagon they called the ''white whale.''

As the oldest son, Tagg Romney commandeered the way-back of the wagon, keeping his eyes fixed out the rear window, where he glimpsed the first sign of trouble. ''Dad!'' he yelled. ''Gross!'' A brown liquid was dripping down the back window, payback from an Irish setter who'd been riding on the roof in the wind for hours.

As the rest of the boys joined in the howls of disgust, Romney coolly pulled off the highway and into a service station. There, he borrowed a hose, washed down Seamus and the car, then hopped back onto the highway. It was a tiny preview of a trait he would grow famous for in business: emotion-free crisis management.

He put his dog on the roof of their car to drive halfway across the country!?! Obviously Seamus didn't enjoy the trip too much if it made him get sick. Then the bastard hoses the dog down and continues on the trip like everything's okay. What kind of sick person does this?

1. Unfortunately, it's about what I would expect
from many people. If they don't think of an animal as really being part of the family then it's not surprising that they treat the dog that way. :(

2. Uh...extremely.
The guy's a fucking psycho. But I guess we shouldn't be all that surprised, unfortunately.

4. What kind of sick person does this? Well, the mayor of Salt Lake City...
...talked about this hollow sick f*ck on Democracy now. Here's an excerpt...

Mayor Rocky Anderson:

But the thing that I find incredibly frightening is that Mitt Romney -- and this has stunned me -- that he could stand up and say, number one, that he would support this war, that he would have gone about this much like President Bush has, that he supports torture and that he would double the size of Guantanamo.

So, you see, if this guy supports doubling Guantanamo, and torturing people, what's a dog to him? Or any living species for that matter.

5. Disturbed? Yes. Driven to find why it's illegal? Most certainly.

7. Cripes....
Shouldn't Romney be fined or ticketed for this? It can't be OK to transport a dog on the roof of your car, for crying out loud! I hope the humane society's animal cops arrest him in some city.
