A UCLA aurora observation facility east of Fairbanks is history, except for accumulated equipment and the buildings left on the site on Chena Hot Springs Road. The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports on the dilemma of Joe Campbell, whose Fairbanks Auction Co. has the responsibility of getting rid of a lot of strange junk.
