What would you call
Edited on Mon Nov-22-04 04:50 PM by AndyP
someone who consults politicians on scientific bills/laws? I'm trying to decide what I want to go to grad school for. I have a science background but I don't want to work in a lab so I'm looking for ideas. So far I've thought of management in a biotech startup company (taking care of the business side for the scientists that have the product) or possibly patent agent.

I also thought since I love politics I might be able to combine them for a career. What would that person's job title be? I'm sure it would be something like "advisor" or consultant, but does anyone know for sure? Thanks a million!

1. Try working for a PAC of scientists...
Like Scientists and Engineers for Change.

2. A Science Advisor to congress is one of the worst jobs in science.

Digging a hole in your backyard and screaming into it would be a more constructive career move.
