Hey, since the Supreme Court decided not to take the Schiavo case
are any churches going to follow the example set by Greer's church and ask the Supreme Court Justices to leave?

I know that the Atlanta loon would be their first pick (the 10 Commandments judge) . . .

1. I suppose they can ASK for anything they want, but it won't happen.
The only way to get rid of a SCOTUS Judge is through impeachment. Somehow, I can't imagine even the House & Senate impeaching the entire SCOTUS!

3. Not leave the bench, leave their church congregation.
Idiot minister at a Florida judge's church sent him a letter asking the judge to quit his congregation. Well more along the lines of, "I can't ask you to leave but we'll all be better off if you don't worship here anymore."

4. That's fine. I guess every church has the right to do that.
I must say, none that I've ever been associated with would ever do that. They would feel it was a challenge to them to change my mind, because throwing someone out is admitting defeat, and giving up on teaching your beliefs.

5. Churches may have a right to do it, but in my opinion...
it's a pretty piss poor pastor who asks a judge to leave over a judicial decision.

You made me chuckle thinking of the churches I was forced to attend as a child. They wouldn't do it either and for exactly the same reason.

2. If they do that I'm issuing an invitation to come join my church.
Is this not beyond silly, or what? I'd be one hell of a hypocrit if I expected the ministerial profession to stay out of politics, but "excommunication" is beyond the pale of common decency.
