CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- When Lamonde Blair reported harassing phone calls to police, he never thought he would end up in jail himself.
But that's exactly what happened when West Virginia State Police ran his name through the National Crime Information Center database.
Blair was arrested and convicted of smuggling cocaine in 1991. He served a month in jail and was put on probation.
He soon moved to West Virginia, where he served out his probation and went on with his life ....Or so he thought.
When police ran his name through the database in February, he was listed as a fugitive from justice in Maryland because of probation violations.

The charges were officially dismissed on Aug. 8.

Blair owns his own dog-training business, Blair's K-9 School of Milton, and says he's trained dogs for police departments in Ohio and other states. He said he's been in the homes of area doctors and coaches among others, training their animals over the last 14 years.
But since his February arrest, his business has suffered tremendously, Blair said.
