New warning on 'perfect vaginas'

Women are undergoing surgery to create perfect genitalia amid a "shocking" lack of information on the potential risks of the procedure, a report says.

Research published in the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology also questions the very notion of aesthetically pleasing genitals.

Operations to improve the appearance of the sex organs for both psychological and physical reasons are on the rise.

All this time I thought one vagina was pretty much like the next one. Many men are terrified that their tool is too short, or too slender, or just generally ugly as sin -- not to mention the question of circumcision. I really did look at some of those pictures and most are of procedures done to young women in their 20's. Who pays for this or maybe we've discovered why the personal debt of our fellow citizens is sky high!

is obviously the subject of the discussion. The vagina is a hole and its lining, a space. The vulva is the skin folds at the entrance to the vagina. Anatomy 101.

Many women are having vaginal surgery since we don't have to live with a cystocele or rectocele any more. That is totally different from having your vulva worked on, making the external parts simply look different.

Serious hypertrophy of the labia actually can interfere with penetration and result in some rather painful intercourse. I've no doubt most of these procedures are for cosmetic reasons but there are some legitimate reasons, also.
