I read on the Internet about using honey & cinnamon to help acne.

I've tried it and it seems to help.

I've heard that honey is an antibiotic. What about the cinnamon--anybody know?

3. Onions are antibiotic. So is garlic.
The "bite" that they have is caused by hydrogen chloride which, when mixed with water (as happens when the vapor mixes with the water in your eyes) converts to hydrochloric acid. But you probably do not want to be rubbing garlic all over your face.

Much more likely the mix acts as a mild exfolliant, which helps clear blocked pores. Cleaning all of the goop off gives the face a more thorough washing than it was otherwise getting. Given the price of honey, you could probably do a better job at a lower price by using a homemade oatmeal scrub.

4. One thing I know about cinnamon - it is used to lower blood sugar.
Many diabetics take it in capsules or just spoons full to lower glucose levels. It may have other medicinal properties.

9. Thinking rationally, pie is fruit, wheat , spices with who knows what
good qualities.

You should eat all the pie you want every day to keep the doctor away!!!

I try to live by this wisdom.

7. Not sure, but the best treatment can be found at acne.org.
My wife and I have used it for years, and it prevents any and all acne if used properly.

The products are inexpensive and eco/health friendly.

8. Cinnamon works similar to an antiseptic but be careful
cinnamon is one of those spices that will burn the skin. You can also use epsom salt with iodine as a home remedy for blackheads but again, caution on the salt and the face.
