Stop & Shop and Shaws/Star Markets, the two largest supermarket chains in New England, have both announced that they will no longer carry the "Bay Windows" homosexual newspaper in its stores, and they are removing all copies from their shelves immediately. Stop & Shop added that the decision was made in conjunction with its legal department.



Both chains received calls and emails from all over New England - and even across the country - prompted by last week's Article 8 Email Alert. Shoppers had been extremely offended that the stores had begun distributing "Bay Windows," a hard-core Boston homosexual newspaper, along with real estate and auto newspapers on shelves where kids could easily get them. And full-page color ads were appearing in Bay Windows listing all the Stop & Shop locations it was available. In addition, Bay Windows published a list of all Stop & Shop and Shaws supermarkets distributing the newspaper.



As most of you know, Bay Windows is a homosexual activist newspaper used to launch vicious and incredibly hateful attacks on religious and pro-family groups and individuals. But it also serves as a way for individual homosexuals to advertise (and participate in) some of the most gross, perverted, and disgusting activities one can imagine.

Sleazy tactics by Bay Windows. When confronted about their full-page ads in Bay Windows listing their stores that carried it, Stop & Shop management claimed they'd never placed any ads in Bay Windows. And in fact they hadn't. It turns out that Bay Windows created the ads to look like real full-page Stop & Shop advertisements. But it was a sleazy trick. (Why aren't we surprised?)

In addition, Shaw's corporate office said that they had never authorized Bay Windows to publish a list of their stores, and were surprised to hear about it.

4. Actually, the last ad on the right IS pretty gross

I challenge you to find something in your Sunday paper worse than the "facials" guy.

On the other hand, if the personals is the "worst" they could find, that doesn't really bolster their case.

There aren't any pictures of penises, are there?

5. Has anyoen actually seen this Bay window?

And can anyone here verify that it resembles how it was described by the TheoCons?

Becuase i've seen a LOT of the gay publications here in the Midwest, from the Vital Voice to the prairie Flame to one from Kentucky who's name I can't remember right now. And NONE of THEM looked anything similar.

The closest to anything like that is the EXP but that's a BAR RAG. You would expect that to be a little racey. and Straight versions fo bar mags are even racier.

I just remember somethign similar but that time it was keeping the gay newspaper Vital Voice out of suprmarkets on the grounds it was too explicit. Taking 30 second sot look inside showed that it was not.

I am just concerned that we are getting our info abotu this from TheoCons, who LIE the way other people breathe.
