I was at a gay wedding on Saturday

They've been together for 15 years and finally tied the knot. There were about 20 witnesses.

Yes, everyone was nude, including the minister.

1. Why?
What's the purpose of a nude wedding?

5. I take it you don't burn
if you did, you wouldn't have to ask.

10. That's what sunscreen is for
Yes, we go through a lot of it.

Nudists find clothing uncomfortable and restricting.

11. I would have to invest in stock in a sunscreen manufacturer
to be able to afford the amount I would need.

14. No, I eschew the sun naturally.
Spending twenty years in hell... er... Florida will turn you either into someone who thrives on the sun, or someone who spends their whole life hiding from it. There's very little middle ground there.

15. And damned proud of it
:patriot:

I play World of Warcraft and have the whole Firefly series on DVD. I even attend science fiction conventions.

16. I have Firefly and the special edition of Serenity.
Edited on Wed Aug-13-08 03:56 PM by DarkTirade
And I just finally broke down and started playing Warcraft. Got the free 10 day demo 11 days ago, bought the game yesterday. :)

However I keep missing sci-fi conventions. Every time one comes around, SOMETHING comes up to keep me from going.

I was, however, a fairly active member in the sci-fi/fantasy club on campus last semester. And I design amateur/indie video games and pen and paper RPGs on the side. So I think my geek cred is pretty high.

2. my brother in law officiated at a nude wedding once
but I think it was just the bride and groom. Are all the folks nudists?

I wish the happy couple many years of married bliss. I hope the ceremony took place where their marriage was more than symbolic.

9. Yes, we're all nudists
We have occasional functions, dinners, whatnot. The wedding occured as part of one of the functions.

Yes, it was a valid marriage. I saw the paperwork.
