Gay Iranian wins UK asylum fight
LONDON, England (CNN) -- Britain has granted asylum to Mehdi Kazemi, a gay Iranian student who faced deportation from the United Kingdom and feared execution in Iran for being homosexual, officials confirmed Tuesday.

4. Thank goodness for this small victory
He was going to be sent to his death on a technicality (that he didn't claim asylum as soon as he arrived here). He will still have to have his case reviewed in 5 years.

That we have gays and lesbians who may be sent back to Iran is still sickening.

Anytime gays here in US get depressed think it could be worse to have been born in Iran or saudi Arabia or...
