Dr. Dean, you're breaking my heart.
Queerty posts video footage of Howard Dean's deposition in the Hitchcock suit against the DNC.

http://www.queerty.com/dean-recalls-little-in-depositio... /

He seems to have caught a bit of Alberto Gonzalez's testimony related amnesia for the occasion.

I'm very saddened by the whole thing. I considered Howard Dean the first politician in my life to be a real leader. I fele I could have followed him anywhere. During his presidential primary I had the great pleasure of meeting him and showing him around the organization I worked with at the time. I even took my kids out of school that day so they could meet him.

I hate to be down on the DNC, but it feels to me they're screwing us over to hold on to some bigot votes. I'm practical enough to done math, but I'm not convinced that's the only way.

:-(

1. Dean...
Last year, I can not remember just when, Dean went on some religious TV show and falsley stated that the DNC Platform contained a plank against gay marriage. I called his office and they called right back claiming it was a mistake, but they also said he would not go back on the show to correct that baiting lie. He said it with will and intention. I lost all respect for the man then. He's a bit of a bigot, and a bit of a bigot is indicitive of a rotten soul. Period.
Many Pentacostals are very high up in the DNC and they don't want gay people around. It is that simple. That is why Obama was allowed to sick McClurkin on us without so much as an arched eyebrow, but if Donnie had gone off against abortion or immigration or any other minority, there would have been hell to pay. Gay people have been declared fair game for Democratic wedge making, and it is time to confront that and correct it before 2012.

2. We need a REAL third party.
Either that, or we take over THIS one and eject all of the fools, prevaricators and other fellow travelers.

3. I didn't see it that way
I can't recall everything I read three years ago, and I sure read less than he does. I don't know the merits of this case and am willing to wait to find them out.

4. If it were just the deposition I might feel more charitable. The statements of Leah
Daughtry and the general tenor have diminished by generosity.

6. I don't know about anyone else here, but I
am getting tired of holding my nose to vote. I am going to need to here something concrete from the Party before I vote Dem again. I have been a countable vote since I came back after 68 (MCCarthy) This time I may just write in Gore. I'm getting to old for the pace of this incrementalism. Obama is a "never" and Hillary is "probably not"

7. Me too. It especially irks me that the DNC is pretty strategic about raising $ from gays,
but not so much about our rights.

8. Ditto for me
I'm tired of being a perpetual cash/vote ATM machine for the Dem party when they repay me in crumbs--if anything. It's time for a change.
