Attack on gay marriage is typical (LTTE: The Arizona Republic)
The letter on Monday "Lesbian life is never typical," demonstrates the "typical" narrow-mindedness and intolerance that led to hundreds of years of slavery, the Crusades, Spanish Inquisition, Holocaust, and countless other wars fought in the name of "My God is bigger and badder than your God."

First, history and tradition defined men and women of African descent in the Americas as the property of White owners, and not individual human beings.

Second, "a sin before God" is defined by what God you believe in and which of the multitude of versions of the Bible you read. To believe that only your interpretation of your God's commands and love is acceptable is extremely narrow-minded and intolerant. Period.

<---snip--->

Or perhaps to be outside your brand of Christianity is also a crime against nature? I've heard that tune somewhere before ... Germany before and during World War II? Afghanistan under the Taliban? Europe during the Crusades?

1. It seems to me
if they were really intent on 'preserving marriage' between male and female, they would ban divorce and make adultery a felony!
After all, adultery is ONE OF THE TEN COMMANDMENTS!!

because they even persecuted the Druids (the priests of the Celtic religion) and still they haven't learned the error of their ways.

And yes i have some Celtic blood in me.

6. Well, I think being a fundamentalists and professing to be the ultimate
authority of God's word is immoral. So, let's erect laws that dehumanize fundamentalism...

...except that in a free society, people have the right to live freely, so long as their rights don't extend past their nose. Unfortunately, these fundy fruitcakes want their beliefs to trump everyone's rights. :scary:
