as we say farewell to paul hackett -- i want to send him my thanks
his beautiful and unequivocal support of the lgbtq community deserves my thanks.

and i hope others.

he saw as fellow citizens who contribute to the civil good and deserved to receive our equal rights as tax paying citizens along with the straight community.

i supported him and i wish him nothing but the best.

2. Agreed....I didn't agree with Hackett on everything....
He had a lot to say and spoke it plainly so that even the simplest voter could understand. His GLBT policy was all I ever wanted to hear from any candidate. I hope when he finioshes licking his wounds he rturns to the public arena and continues to raise hell.

3. i didn't agree with everything either.
it's the way that he delivered his support to the lgbtq community that was what we have all been longing to hear from a straight democratic candidate.

i was willing to work with what he was giving.

his directness did so much for all of us, i think.

4. I agree...it was just simple, direct, honest...no qualifications.
How many Democrats support same-sex marriage? Paul Hackett does.

I'm sorry that he's withdrawing from the race. He's a good Democrat and a man of principle.

5. it's that ''no qualifications'' thing isn't it?
it really was what we were asking for -- it's a little thing -- but it's the whole world.
