If The Human Rights Campaign Doesn't Organize a Massive Ford Boycott
Edited on Tue Dec-06-05 08:03 PM by ruggerson
I'm done with them. Our national organizations are pathetic, money grubbing, bureaucratic jokes.

Time to make the Ford issue a huge national story. There should be a nationwide boycott of Ford by gays and lesbians, their families and their friends.

We can make Ford hurt far more than the the fundamentalist extremists can.

1. Is there a thread dedicated to this topic yet? That would help.
Like you I feel better knowing this is an organized effort afoot.

3. Count me in! I've never gone near a Ford product in my life! And
filed a consumer complaint against the local dealership after they had my Subaru for 5 weeks and then said they would repair the collison damage because it wasn't paid for my an insurance company! Guess my cash wasn't good enough for them.

4. ruggerson...
...I am about to walk out the door for a 2pm appointment, but have the HRC mentioned organizing a boycott? If not, perhaps us queer DUers should ban together and organize a mass email to the HRC explaining to them that if they continue to be inactive our contributions won't continue?

5. I received an HCR newsletter today
with a link to a letter to Ford. Unfortunately, I deleted the letter after sending a copy to Ford.

I tried to find it on the HRC web site (www.hrc.org) but I think you have to be signed up for their e-mails to receive the link, so you may want to sign up for HRC mailings.

They do have a copy of the settlement between AFA and Ford. I'm hoping they will have a link on their site soon to allow more people to contact Ford.
