Tim Gill forms group to fight gay marriage bans
A Denver philanthropist is forming a political nonprofit group to fight constitutional amendments barring gay marriage and to influence candidate races. Tim Gill's Gill Action Fund was established in August. Gill Foundation executive director Rodger McFarlane says it'll be national in scope and bankrolled entirely by the Colorado millionaire. McFarlane says the foundation board of directors is meeting this week to discuss the budget, which could range from three (m) million dollars to 30 (m) million dollars. McFarlane says the Gill Action Fund will oppose initiatives next fall to constitutionally bar gay marriage. The group also will try to get wealthy donors nationwide to support state and local candidates. --- Gill -- who is gay -- founded software-maker Quark Incorporated in 1981 and made hundreds of (m) millions of dollars when he sold his stake in 2000. He's given about 200 (m) million dollars to the Gill Foundation, which was started in 1994 to support gay and lesbian causes.

1. Its such a shame that
so much time and effort and money have to be used to fight the religiously insane in this country who operate freely and in a tax exempt status. I would like to see Gill's movement press for a constitutional amendment banning divorce as a tool to aid in the sanctity of marriage. I know its lunacy however how could "christians" publicly oppose it?

bush's base is the number one domestic enemy of the constitution.

2. I've been saying the same about a divorce ban, I think it's a wonderful
idea.
