'Gay? fine by me' campaign draws support from Bucknell community
The concept is simple: wear your opinion on your sleeve, or rather across your chest. And that's exactly what hundreds of Bucknell University students did Tuesday, wearing T-shirts with the slogan: "gay? fine by me."

"Gay? fine by me" is a national campaign intended to promote tolerance for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered individuals. The campaign was held at Susquehanna University last week.

Shirts are given to anyone on campus who wants to show their support for gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered students. Over the last week or so, they have been handed out to students, faculty and staff.

Bucknell has taken part in the program for four years, distributing a total of about 1,600 T-shirts. This year, more than 250 shirts were given away in less than two hours.

1. cool
i would support them and wear a t-shirt. My boss and his partner own a store here in bloomington (i am a student at IU) and they recently had two highschool kids, steal their rainbow flag on the outside of their store "the Inner chef" and burn it, saying it is an insult to the american flag. Read more on it through the AP, its a big deal. The kid said his dad was in Iraq and it just pissed him off....i say BS! It just makes me sick that people are that stupid and ignorant. But my boss and his partner take it in stride, they have a new flag flying and like he says, when you are this way your entire life, you get use toit. I was more shocked and angry than he was, that attitude just doesn't mix here and is complete crap. Oh well...the rant is over.

4. Encourage them to join up ...
we could always use more LGBT voices here on DU.

And offer them our condolences on their flag. I hate it whenever anyone has to suffer at the hands of idiots, bigots, fun-D'uh=Mentalists, Repugnantcans or other lower life forms!
