Florida County Sued Over Gay Pride Ban
http://www.365gay.com/newscon05/10/101905tampa.htm

A Tampa businessman is suing Hillsborough County over a policy banning county agencies from "acknowledging, promoting or participating in gay pride events".

Joe Redner says the ban is unconstitutional. Redner, who owns a number of mainstream businesses in the Tampa area including a strip club, has been a longtime supporter of LGBT and other civil rights issues.

In June, Hillsborough County Commissioners passed an ordinance barring the county government from any acknowledgement of Gay Pride, and a second ordinance making it virtually impossible to repeal the first one. (story) Only one commissioner, Kathy Castor, voted against the dual measures.
