I was getting ready to jump on this then I saw it was you.

I am so freaking angry about this. Yes, it is going to be such easy going for most of us to get equality passed, especially now that our freakish R governors with our freakish R legislatures can relax a bit on it. Yup, he just essentially said that he was not interested in working the issue and, well, whatever.

That's pretty much the way things work around here. If something good happens or a good law (well...let's face it the best we've gotten from a federal level is not horrible bits and pieces of shitty laws and legislation) passes then the reason it did was because of Obama's wise, sage political maneuvering and of course it's all behind the the scenes and you just didn't see it or hear about it.

But all the bad things that happen? Well that's the dysfunctional Senate's fault, or the blue dogs, or the states or someone else, and goshdarnit he fought tooth and nail for it (behind the scenes of course) but he just couldn't get past those insurmountable objects standing in his way.

Let's just say my opinion on whether to bother supporting Obama in 2012 is "evolving".

to elect a Democrat (thank God) to the White House, but when it comes to policies, he's apparently poison. So if he stays out of stuff, he's actually helping big time.
