Linda Harvey: Day Of Silence Creates "Hitler Youth Product"

Anti-gay activist Linda Harvey, who has previously blamed pro-LGBT activists for teen suicides, posted a column in Monday’s WorldNetDaily entitled “Dumbing down for the Day of Silence,” criticizing schools for “lobotomiz” children’s minds and creating a “Hitler Youth product” in support of LGBT equality:

The Day of Silence, a "student-led" event sponsored for the umpteenth year by the very adult Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), exemplifies the worst of current educational philosophy in the public schools.

In a word, it's dumb.

The DOS operates at the most elementary level of manipulation, propaganda and social engineering. It takes "social justice" nonsense, stirs in unfounded claims of "civil rights," adds a helping of knee-jerk anti-religious prejudice, swirls in teen rebellion, and simmers with disconnected stories of tragedy and heartbreak. Out comes a Hitler Youth product ready to do battle with anyone holding traditional moral values or even common sense.

The National Day of Silence, which is sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), is an event which encourages students to take a day-long vow of silence to bring attention to the problem of anti-LGBT bullying. The event is especially important considering the recent string of highly-publicized suicides by LGBT youth. According to Harvey, however, the event simply offers children the opportunity to adopt “false identit” and be lead into “early sodomy”
