He knew very well that the attitudes toward him of the hundreds of people he met on a daily basis would be changed forever. Ruelas' was "depressed",the school privatizers claim. That killed him; not the defamation.

Clementi was killed by " the gay rights movement". Not by the mindless, obdurate prejudice of the larger society ... and those within it so insistent on keeping that prejudice burning full blast.

I missed the McCarthy era by a few years; relating to it exclusively on the basis of what I had read and thru documentaries and such.

I don't think I really, fully understood it until *very* recently.
