Rockstar Energy Drink donates money to LGBT organizations
Rockstar Energy Drink donates money to LGBT organizations

Rockstar Energy Drink CEO Russell Weiner announced that his company will be donating $100,000 to several prominent LGBT organizations and expanding the company’s LGBT corporate policies.

The beverage company showed its support for the LGBT community in order to distance itself from Weiner’s father, the far-right radio talk show host Michael Savage.

“It has recently come to ROCKSTAR’s attention that there might be a misconception about our company’s policy and my personal support for LGBT rights,” said Rockstar CEO Russell Weiner. “We apologize for that misunderstanding, and want to make clear today that our company fully supports our LGBT employees and our LGBT customers.”

3. Maybe the kid realizes his dad is an asshole
Or perhaps he realized that sales were tracking horrible records because progressives were boycotting his problem.

I'd like to see how this one plays out

5. Maybe he called Mary Cheney for advice?
She used to work for Coors, in an attempt to polish up their well deserved anti- equality image in Colorado after Pete Coors contributed heavily to the hateful Ammendment 2 in that state (which passed, but was declared unconstitutional)

Seems like a similar strategy from Little Weiner.

2. I was about to rip this thread apart because of who owns RockStar
but perhaps the kid knows his dad is a whack job. I'm guessing people were boycotting his beverage because of his father and now the kid wants to step out of Dad's shadow to show that he's not an idiot.

Hat's off!
