The LDS are offering a free Easter video, no charge for the DVD or shipping. The number to call for the DVD is 800-357-4141. Even if it only costs them $2.50 a pop it would add up fast.

They'll write it off as "ministry costs", which they then deduct as expenses. We then foot that bill because we subsidize them with our taxes, since they pay none, and increases in postage prices down the line.

In the current economy the tithe amounts probably aren't going to go up any. Since this is money that was already tax-exempt to begin with, why not divert it to an effort that will do less harm.
