More new lyrics
to Puff, the Magic Dragon.

Republicans are assholes,
they're liars and they're thieves.
They want to drag the nation back
into the fifTEEEEEEES!

That's as far as I've gotten.

2. that would be the Opus Dei ones
The protestant ones wouldn't like the 1450s much. (would serve them right, though)

3. 1850s, surely?
The 1950s were far from perfect and had their ugly side, but every economic chart handed out by unions and economists agree: it was the best time for the American economy.

The 1850s were ugly, through and through. No excuse can be found to stop me feelin' blue. :)

4. High flying, adored Rick
http://www.allmusicals.com/lyrics/evita/highflyingadored.htm
Sound track on YouTube

High flying, adored Rick
So young, the instant pastor
A rich not so beautiful thing, of all the talents
A cross between a fantasy of the boardroom and the clan
You were just a backpew boy
Hustling and fighting, scratching and biting

High flying, adored Rick
Did you believe in your wildest book tours
All this would be yours
That you'd become the preacher of them all?

Were there stars in your eyes
When you crawled onto the podium
From the votes, for the Prop8
From the pulpit theatrical
Don't look down, it's a long, long way to fall

High flying, adored Rick
What happens now, where do you go from here?
For someone on top of the world
Our view of you is exactly clear
A shame you did it all on the backs of Teh Gays
There are no mysteries now
Nothing can thrill you, no money fulfill you

High flying, adored Rick
I hope you come to terms with our booing
So famous so easily, so soon
It's not the wisest thing to be

You won't care if we boo you
It's been done before
You'll despair when they shun you
You'll be drained of all energy
All the gay lives you’ve ruined would agree

High flying, adored Rick
That's good to hear but your unimportant
Our story's quite unusual
All the gays get married, then unwed by law
You were stuck in the right place at the perfect time
Filled a gap, you were lucky
But one thing I'll say for you
Noone else can fake it like you do

5. What's new (Buenos Aires) Capitol City?
http://www.allmusicals.com/lyrics/evita/buenosaires.htm
Sound track

What's new Capitol City?
I'm new, I wanna say I'm just a little stuck on you
You'll be on me too

I get out of California
Stand back, you oughta know whatcha gonna get in me
Just a little touch of faux quality

Fill me up with your tithe, with your lights
With your praise, overdo me
Let me preach of my hate, make it loud
Let me lie, run it through me.
I don't hold back, I am certain to impress
Tell the people this is where I'm staying

Hello, nation’s D.C.
Get this, just look at me dressed up, somewhere to go
I’ll put on a show

Take me in at your home, give me praise
Give me money, set me humming
Shoot me up with your blood, wind me up
Hear my lies, watch me coming
All I preach is a whole lot of excess
Tell the people this is where I'm praying.

Stand back, nation’s D.C.
Because you oughta know whatcha gonna get in me
Just a little touch of faux quality

And if ever I go too far
It's because of the things you are
Beautiful gays, I love you
And if I need a moment's rest
Give your lover my very best
My bigotry and silence.

I’m a tramp, I’m a treat
I’ll will lie to the death, I am shoddy
By you're flesh, you have sinned
You deserve every lying breath in my body
Put me down for a lifetime of success
Give me credit, I'll find ways of praying

Rio de la Muerta
Florida, Key West, my Nuevo is Julio
All I want to know

Stand back, nation’s D.C.
Because you oughta know whatcha gonna get in me
Just a little touch of
Just a little touch of
Just a little touch of faux quality
