Thanks to the efforts of one retired schoolteacher, "School on Wheels" helps the children of the homeless in Los Angeles keep up in school. NBC's George Lewis reports.

I saw it at the end of the NBC Nightly News last night during their weekly "Making a Difference" segment. I found it inspiring.

I couldn't find the whole transcript, but I don't know that I was looking in the right place.

3. That's very inspiring and so is the next report

about a school bus with laptops. The kids have an hour long ride to school and a generous donor has equipped the bus with wifi and laptops.
