What a surprise, Ms. Black has no experience in education and is another Chancellor who is not an educator. Ms. Black replaces Joel Klein, also a none educator. She is a fan of Carly Fiorina. I think it ( school "reform"') is a sort of inside joke making the rounds in certain social circles... i.e. the economic elite.

The appointment (i.e. of Black) is *that* ridiculous.

Why do they do it? I think they do it to show they CAN do it.

And because when schools don't work the reformist have more excuses for shifting funds to charter schools, eliminating pensions, and firing teachers.
