5. What kind of Democrat bashes teachers and unions?
Isn't that kind of like bashing education and an economy based on reality?

11. DU is already censored.
I'd prefer that any board that is going to call itself "left wing" and "Democratic" support and defend labor and public education.

If it really WERE left-wing and democratic no one would feel a need for a forum where labor and public ed couldn't be bashed.

13. Yes.
It's one thing to have a healthy debate, but quite another to have people constantly coming on and blaming all public ed for the actions of one teacher in one school out of the hundreds of thousands of schools across the country. Or blaming all teachers the the actions of some teacher back in 1965. Or blaming all teachers for some kids who don't know Civics, Manners, Nutrition, Planets, Maps, Capitals, Spelling, Multiple Languages, How To Think v. How To Take Tests, and whatever else they can think of.

I'm tired of having to defend my life. I've given more than 20 years to this, and I guess I'd like to think some of it was worthwhile.
