This is extremely important in relation to the political environment because of the aging problems that are coming to the baby boomers. All of prohibition is under a test to see how long it takes to evaporate the lies that protect the fraud of prohibition. Aging boomers just put more pressure on the situation. We know that cannabis/cannabinoids do wonders on inflammation and that is a huge thing coming as medicine is just now understanding the importance of inflammation and its treatment. Inflammation relates to heart attacks more directly than cholesterol whose treatment is so prominent in pill sales, Litpitor being the leading selling pill in the world. And recent studies have announced that diabetes is triggered by inflammation in the liver. Anyway, this is really a huge development because of what it does to bury the Schedule One Lie.

Cannabis use in substitution of alcohol use relates to the boomer pressure too because alcohol use comes at a higher price as you get older.

January 12, 2006 - Jerusalem, Israel

Jerusalem, Israel: The endocannabinoid system appears to play a major role in preserving bone density and preventing the onset of osteoporosis, according to preclinical trail data published in the current issue of the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the USA. Endocannabinoids are marijuana-like chemicals produced naturally in humans and animals that bind to the same receptors as do plant-derived cannabinoids such as THC.

Researchers at the Bone Laboratory of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem found a high number of cannabis receptors present in the bones of mice. Mice that lacked these receptors developed severe osteoporosis as they aged. Researchers reported that the administration of the synthetic cannabinoid HU-308 slowed the development of osteoporosis, stimulated bone building and reduced bone loss.

"These results demonstrate that the endocannabinoid system is essential for the maintenance of normal bone mass, . offers a molecular target for the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis," researchers concluded.

Osteoporosis is a degenerative skeletal disease characterized by a deterioration of bone tissue. Patients with osteoporosis are at risk for suffering multiple fractures and other serious disabilities.

Previous research on endocannabinoids and the endocannabinoid receptor system indicates that cannabinoids may play a role in maintaining homeostasis (metabolic equilibrium) in humans and other living organisms. Biological functions regulated by endocannabinoids include appetite, body temperature, blood pressure, reproductive activity, learning capacity, and motor coordination.

4. In regards to the pressure against prohibition created by aging boomers

There is every reason to believe cannabis/cannabinoids are going to play a significant part in preventing/treating Alzheimer's disease. Again, we can thank prohibition for not knowing more about the cannabinoids in relation to Alzheimer's and plenty of people are going to suffer terribly because prohibition has done so much to warp medicine and science.
