MUST we be subjected to Mike Golic followed by Skip Bayless until noon? .... I know tennis is a blip on the radar in the US, but some of us really do enjoy it.

1. The Tennis Channel is carrying it
They've had excellent coverage.

4. Aye, the Tennis Channel
has been live all week and beats the pants off ESPN2 for coverage. The less ESPN2 shows it the better.

2. Yeah, especially Federer's match yesterday...
...apparently without any Americans left in the men's draw, there's no point in watching.

3. It's For People Like Me... I Have OCD & Get So So Nervous Watching
someone I really like playing at match. I CAN'T bring myself to watch the first time around, then when I find out the results, I can watch it later on ESPN!

I know, very weird... but I'm pretty much that way with most sports competitions I like. And I LOVE tennis. Played for years and never seemed to have "nerve" problems as long as I was playing! It's just watching others!

But I DID just watch Murray & Gonzales, AFTER Gonzales beat Murray 6-0 so I figured it was pretty safe then! I live in a town where there are MANY top notch tennis players and have benn around one in particular several times. Players "seem" to "like" their opponents, but from the "inside" that I've seen... there's a certain disdain between some players!

That hand shake at the end, ain't always so endearing! But that's just what I hear from some players! And no, I'm not on any kind of circuit... just a regular person. The city has just attracted a lot of players.
