Randy Johnson gets first win as a Giant
Edited on Sun Apr-19-09 06:00 PM by Upton
beating his former team the Diamondbacks 2-0.. Johnson threw 6 innings of no hit baseball...left after going 7, giving up but 1 hit.

Looks like the old guy isn't done yet.

1. The guy's been in the League a hundred years and I still giggle at his name.
Having the nickname The Big Unit just adds to the hilarity.

2. I was watching the Giants post game show
and they were saying Johnson doesn't want to be called "The Big Unit" anymore...

First I'd heard of that.

7. We have Matt Cain going next. I love our rotation.
But our offense still sucks out loud.

8. You know what's amazing?
In 3 games against the Diamondbacks, Giant pitching only gave up 2 total runs but they lost 1 game because they only scored 4 themselves.

Giants are averaging just over 3 runs a game, but if you take away the opener and the 10 runs scored, they're averaging 2.45 runs a game in the last 11...that's pathetic.
