Plaxico plea will involve prison time
A plea deal is being seriously considered in the gun possession case against Plaxico Burress, the New York Giants’ wide receiver, and it appears likely that any agreement would require him to serve at least some time behind bars, a law enforcement official said on Sunday.

Jerry Jones, are you listening?

1. How was he charged with "two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon"?
Wasn't it just one gun and one shooting? Perhaps one charge for having it, and one charge for letting making it go off?

I don't care if he gets a light sentence, as long as he gets the same deal than any other person in a similar situation would get...

2. One count is possession of a loaded firearm 265.03(3)
the other is possession of a loaded firearm with intent to to use it illegally against another person. 265.03 (1) (b)

I'm not totally sure how they can make that one stick, but I don't know NY Law.

3. I wonder what his criminal background is? It might not be
extensive enough to interest Jones.

5. Not quite as extensive as Eddie DeBartolo's though.
No one has more mob contacts than Eddie D.

6. Eddie is the greatest owner in NFL history
of that there is no doubt.

Paul Tagliabue, the government and possibly even the Yorks conspired to deprive Eddie of his pride and joy..the greatest franchise in NFL history.

8. Do you honestly think
that all the fat cat owners in the NFL don't each have their share of unsavory connections? I think you know better than that.

Eddie was targeted by a conspiracy we'll probably never know the depths of, but of which the government, Tagliabue, a cabal of owners, and the Yorks were the principal players..

The 49ers couldn't be stopped on the field so Eddie's many enemies resorted to the kind of tactics that all sports fans, including you, should condemn..

10. Nice spin, Upton, but that doesn't fit with reality. DeBartelo is a convicted
felon.

Like Tiger Woods, he's going to have to show that he's completely recovered if he expects to recover his full market value.
