Coach Richard Quick was unable to attend the meet. It is Auburn's 8th men's championship and first under Quick. http://www.aggiesports.com/swimming/Inspired-Auburn-win...

I remember when Don Gambril coached swimming at Alabama. (I briefly attended school with his son. I think his name was Geoff.) He did a good job, but Auburn has been putting 'Bama in the shade lately in swimming. I couldn't even tell you the name of our current swimming coach, without using Google.
Congratulations on the continuing success of the Auburn swimming program. And best wishes to Coach Quick.

| 3. You guys should be happy with the new BB coach. |

I don't know what Mark Gottfried's problem was, but he sure underachieved considering the talent level.

| 4. I think Coach Grant is likely to work out well |

I'm not a huge basketball fan. I don't even really follow March Madness, unless Alabama is in the mix. But everyone that knows about this stuff seems to think that Grant will do a good job.
Yeah, the Gottfried situation is kind of perplexing. His teams didn't seem to even attempt to play defense, at all. Very peculiar, indeed.
Gottfried was a good recruiter. He just couldn't coach them. The Tide should have been awesome with both Richard Hendrix and Ronald Steele on the team. Yet, they sucked. Hopefully, Anthony Grant will be a major upgrade for Alabama fans, and I think he will.
