Having the Super Bowl in Tampa Bay is psing a problem for me
it's impossible to theme my Super Bowl party around it (I did a pirate them a few years ago when they played Oakland - we bought eyepatches and pirate hats for all of our guests). There is no food associated with Tampa Bay, no tradition - I mean, if it was Baltimore, we could do crab, New England has lots of choices.

I wish it would be in Green Bay! Brats, cheese, and beer!

1. You Could Simply Make Florida the Theme
It's not Miami, but there's plenty of stuff to round out a Florida theme.

2. How? Serve alligator
and ask everyone to vote on the final score for a prize, then steal all their votes and laugh? Stage a Brooks Brothers riot?

16. Jean shorts
ask your guests to wear "jorts" to the game/party (which seem to be ever so present in FLA)

18. Here's the perfect theme decoration for you........
You could have a Crystal Trophy theme based on Florida winning 4 national championships... 2 in basketball and 2 in football..... in the last 33 months.

Have these all over the room.........

21. Everyone will get hypnotized
However, you have all given me some really good ideas. The theme of my party is going to be SPRING BREAK IN FLORIDA.

Whoo hoo!

So far, mojitos, chicken wings, maybe I'll try those weird Cuban sandwiches that have pickles....

6. Ha! Good one!
When it was in Detroit, we had a whole Motown theme.

One year we didn't have a theme, and just did food based on any team you wanted in the NFL. We have Cleveland Brownies, and San Francisco Whine and Cheese, among other things, like Buffalo Wings, and Greek food for Detroit. IIRC, we also had clam chowder (New England) and crab cakes (Baltimore).

A town where early Cuban settlers inhabited and have provided many--many great restaurants. Green Fucking Bay in January---- Yeah--- fans would just love to watch a game in the frozen Tundra.

11. It's a football game not Halloween.
Put out some beer and chips and do some grilling out in the back yard. Enjoy the sun and the balmy weather. Oh wait, maybe you don't have sunny & balmy weather, like Tampa. Eat your heart out.B-)

Built the whole city on them.
