The Tigers won the World Series that year.

Bob Gibson might be my all-time favorite pitcher, even though I never saw him play live.

2. GREAT pitcher. He was pretty tough on the Tigers, until Cash and Horton...
singled.

Gibson was amazing. But Mickey "I don't throw with my stomach" Lolich prevailed.
