Is is possible for Skip Bayless to be a bigger asshole?
Now this morning he is saying that Michael Phelps is not the greatest American swimmer because Spitz didn't have the 50 free to swim in, take that and his constant Jihad against LeBron James.

1. I would not mind in the slightest
if Skip Bayless fell into a black hole and dragged Woody Paige, Peter King, and Jay Mariotti with him.

Self-important douchebags. Woody has a vendetta against all things Boston and New England. King writes these sappy pro-Patriots articles that make even Pats fans want to vomit. Mariotti's just a sanctimonious asshole.

2. I will agree with you on King and Mariotti especially
but I kinda like Woody Paige.

6. Oh, they can also take Tony Kornheiser with them
mainly for the fact that the man singlehandedly ruined MNF.

Now, I make no secret of being a Patriots fan, but he would not shut the fuck up about the Patriots (or, specifically, his man crush) during the season. It always went something like this:

MIKE WILBON: Welcome to Gillette Stadium, ladies and gentlemen, for tonight's matchup between the Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens. The Patriots come into this game with a perfect record, but I'm sure that--

KORNHEISER: TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY TOM BRADY

Kinda like how Madden will be with BRETT FAVRE this season.

5. Peter King?
I've always enjoyed reading his stuff - and I'm not a Patriots fan.

But Mariotti and Bayless are absolutely insufferable. And you can cast every Detroit sportswriter into the black hole with them.

7. I hate King, and I hate Bill "The SPORTZ GUY" Simmons even more.
However, J.A. Adande kicks ass, and Jim Rome's all right.

8. I dont't know if he's a sports "writer"
but Mitch Albom is usually a voice of sanity.

3. I have every confidence that Skip will find a way
the ranting and nonsense that goes on on some ESPN shows is an insult to the viewers.

4. Yes, I'd love if ESPN would Skip Bayless
He's one of those professional curmudgeons who constantly gets air time by making up controversy.

9. He also said that Phelps is not the greatest because he's not the fastest.
Spitz won the 100m freestyle in his Olympic games.

Phelps isn't entered in the 100.

Bayless's point was that Spitz was the best at everything in his time and Phelps isn't.

Never mind that nonsense about the 50m freestyle.

Bayless almost always takes a contrary position to the athlete worship practiced at ESPN. Fine by me.

10. I don't know...
Phelps seems to have broken a world record with each one of his 5 golds... it's hard to argue he's not the fastest. Bayless can be quite the contrarian, but sometimes in his zeal to disagree, he fails to make a good argument.

11. So, Spitz bombs out in his first Olympics, Michael came back with 6 gold...
...now might get 8 on top of that. Isn't longevity a sign of greatness?

12. How about the fact that there were fewer specialists in Spitz' day?
Phelps has to deal with people that specialize in a particular event and that was far less common in the days of Mark Spitz. It is that fact that makes many swimming people think it is so near impossible for Phelps to beat the 7 gold mark.

14. No. If Mr. Know It All ever said anything nice about anybody
I think his tounge would snap off. Not sure if he is worse, but Mike Lupica of The Sports Reporters is a close 2nd.

15. While I don't like Bayless
In this case, he's right. But his constant hatred, yes hatred, of Terrell Owens is tiresome. But Bayless is there so that ESPN can have something to fill air space during the day. Most people know that he is just a whiney asshole.
