1. They think they're the darlings of the NBA

when they found out they weren't, they imploded. Plus, Shaq's stupid comments about how great he is is probably pissing off the sportswriters, so they won't give him the prima donna coverage he craves.

2. I'm a Heat fan and not overly surprised

The road team generally makes a stand one of the first two games. For the Heat, they contested game one, up 10 at one point and down only 3 with a few minutes left. You've got to win a game like that. If you don't it's incredibly predictable the second game will not be competitive.

I despise 2-3-2. It is a massive advantage to the original home team. Now the Heat has to win 3 straight, very unlikely, simply to be theoretically 50/50 in the series. Needing one win in two attempts in Dallas is basically 50/50, given the pointspreads and accompanying money lines.

In 2-2-1-1-1 it's much easier for the road team to tie the series at home then win one of the two remaining games on the road, games 5 or 7, surrounding the game 6 at home.
