Sports writers and thinkers make me laugh RE. Brewers/Tigers
The Brewers raced out to a 5 - 1 start. They played two doormats . Since then, they are 3 - 7 against:

St. Louis (2 - 1 series loss)
My NY Mets (2 - 1 series loss. . .actually blowouts)
Houston (2 - 1 series loss)

Same thing with Detriot. Started 5 - 1 against KC and Texas, then lost the Chicago series and split the Cleveland series, being outscored 18 - 10.

Yet, the writers were ready to declare them Division champs. The Brewers haven't been anything since Molitor and Yount retired, and the Tigers haven't been anything since Trammell, Whittaker and Sparky Anderson retired.

And they won't be this year either.

1. Both teams are actually very close to being good teams
Both are headed in the right direction rebuilding their teams, and both are just a few key players away from contending for divisional titles. I think both teams have bright futures.

2. Tigers just swept the Ms and won their series with Oakland
I think they are 7 games above .500 right now.

3. Come on, the Tigers have a better chance of winning the division
than the Royals!

4. Royals are more pathetic than the D-Rays at this point
The D-Rays at least can hit. Their pitching just sucks up the joint.

6. It's ridiculous to engage in such talk in a season barely a month old
But until the NBA and NHL finals around, they have nothing to hype except baseball and the NFL draft.
