Welcome to Patriot Nation. George Mason Univ to the 'leet 8!!!

This is one of the best sports pictures ever. It's the sports
photo equivalent to Rembrandt's "Night Watch"...a great natural
rendition of men at work! The ACC redux.

Campbell, George Mason use defense to squelch Shockers

March 24, 2006
CBS SportsLine.com wire reports

WASHINGTON -- Lamar Butler dribbled out the final seconds of George Mason's latest improbable victory, then dropped the ball and wagged eight fingers toward a TV camera.

Butler hopped and skipped to the locker room, yelling over and over: "We're not even supposed to be here!"

"We've been trying to prove ourselves all year. We heard what the critics were saying -- that we didn't belong in the tournament," senior guard Tony Skinn said. "The confidence level has risen, and we've gotten a chance to show the country what we're capable of."
-------------
Excuse me, what was "improbable" about this victory. GMU beat this team on their home court.

Next improbable victory, Connecticut. They won't be up for the game, way cool. We will;)

WELCOME TO PATRIOT NATION!!!

1. Congratulations...however, I don't think UCONN will play two
shitty games in a row.

3. We'll see...
...I'm still picking UCONN to win it all, but they need to get their act together.

5. You are a gentleman and a scholar, a Shocker too!
Excellent team!!! I think they would have done better in another bracket because those
of us known as "mid majors" (wha...?) need to hang tough. Of course, the Shockers and
the Patriots were both dissed for even getting a bid.

Next year, we'll play for the championship;) ... and if wishes were horses we'd all take
a ride.

But we can always hope...

6. OK, may be a little cutting edge, but here's a Mascot idea...from the film

People would forfeit games out of fear

Coming to a Power Grid near you...the Shockers!
