8-9 matchup of Arizona and Wisconsin?

Oh, that's the bracket they haven't announced yet.

What a moron.

1. Oops
Yeah I was in Chicago a few years ago when Packer said, and this is a direct quote, "Iowa sucks and they always will." This was when Iowa finished ninth in the league but made the Big Ten tourney final game. Screw Packer. Go back to the overrated ACC. And Fuke Duke. No. 1 overall? Hardly.

2. Fuck the people who say fuck the ACC.
I get sick of that shit. We don't like Packer any more than the rest of you. He used to be good, but when he went national, his brain cells must have oozed out of his ears.

How is the ACC overrated anyways? We only got 4 teams in the tourney - if anything, we're underrated. :eyes:

I love these blind to the facts dumbass statements.

3. Look I grew up listening to Packer and learned much of the game from him
That may sound ridiculous but he was like a caoch on the air.

Never pick up your dribble near mid court

ALWAYS have someone on or arond the foul line (that is the single best advise I have ever heard).

Your socks are the only dry part of your gear

How to effectively throw a bounce pass.

and on and on and on.

This was before I ever played organized ball and the coaching at that level often (not always) was just making sure everyone got there on time.

I don't agree with Packer all the time (of course) but he is still the best color guy working though Gminski comes the closest.

Imagine what the ACC would be like if people stayed around for just 3 years. Hell even 2.

8. Exactly. That was when he was good.
When he went to CBS (or whoever) after a while he got away from doing this sort of stuff, and turned hackish.

He was what Dan Bonner is now. THAT is an excellent color guy - explaining the game, Packer doesn't do that anymore.

(excuse me I forgot to include this) BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Edit- Packer and McGuire on NBC where a GREAT team. You could learn ACC style ball as well as NYC ball from them. I loved listening to them as much as I liked the games.

4. Are you saying he slipped and gave the wrong bracket?
That's hysterical.

5. I like Packer
I appreciate announcers who aren't afraid to be criticial. Guys like Vitale simply serve as promoters of college basketball. At least Packer has the guts to criticize college greats like Duke and JJ Redick.

7. Dick Vitale
All he's ever done is rant and rave about how this-or-that player is going to be what-numbered lottery pick. When he announces games that include a no-name underdog team, he spends more time talking about the marquee team's star player landing a lucrative sneaker contract.

6. Packer is a worthless old sourpuss.
I don't think anything remotely resembling constructive criticism has ever passed his lips.

Criticism is ok, but one needs to be able to hand out praise where it is due.
