I'm inclined to agree with you: given the way the Steelers shut down Manning and the Colts offense, I don't see why they won't completely shutdown the Seahawks as well.

In fact, most Seahawks fans aren't going there. It's the noncommitted fans that are upset about the way the game was officiated. I spent the game at a party full of Steelers fans, who loved every call, but also scratched their heads in wonder, as they weren't so blind as to ignore the bizarre nature of so many key calls going against Seattle. As I've noted, it had the air of a Juventus match in a key game in Italy.

And they can expect it thrown in their face now. My team got beat up early in the playoffs so I really didn't care who won and I thought the officiating was fine. You break the rules of the game you get penalized for it. Even if you took half the supposed bad calls and reversed them Seattle still would have lost.

They couldn't get in the endzone to save their lives and couldn't even get within reasonable distance for FG attempts. You can't win games when you play like that.

Just for reference purposes. As a 4 point underdog with a total of 47, that equates to Pittsburgh 25.5, Seattle 21.5.

That's always a handy way to look at things if you're contemplating a wager. Sometimes the base projection indeeds looks way off for one side so if your handicap is correct you have an edge. In this case, if I was certain Seattle's output would be closer to 10 than 21.5 or 22 and maybe willing to risk a few bucks, I would try to find a -3.5 on Pittsburgh and bet the Steelers and the under, looking for maybe a 47.5 or 48. I could only lose both bets if my handicap was way off and Seattle scored plenty. A parlay of Pittsburgh and the under would also be sensible. Of course, in the Super Bowl they have props galore so it's possible just to wager on Seattle under the projected points of 21.5 or 22. You can also take specific ranges, and probably get high odds on Seattle being shut out, scoring less than 6, scoring 10 or less, and so on.

I was rooting for your team, or at least against Paul Allen and Company.

Alas, I wish I could say I was happy for the Steelers themselves, but watching this game was like watching the many bizarre Italian championships won by Juventus over the years. It certainly leaves one scratching one's head regarding the integrity of the NFL.
