Man, I love my football team
Chris Berman on ESPN's football program calls the Patriots 'The Machine.'

It is a great time to love sports in New England. The Celtics suck so bad they bend light, and the Bruins have basically ceased to exist, but between the Patriots and the Red Sox, it is high times up here.

2. I'm torn
On the one hand, I think that NE sports fan deserve every last bit of joy that their recent successes give them, given their long history of sucking and choking.

On the other, it's getting downright annoying. :P

4. It won't last
The Pats may be dominant for a while longer, but the Sox will go back to being second banana as soon as pitchers and catchers report.

Know what? Don't care. :)

5. The snow game with us was fixed! Admit it.

Glad the Pats are doing well. The whole organization is great, particularly the coach.

8. Small consolation.
Actually, there is a long history of fixed games involving any/every loss the Raiders EVER suffered post-season...starting with Mr. Rooney. We are "America's Team" afterall.

I'm glad to see the Pats win year in and year out. They handled their resources well and have a solid deal. We can't say the same. If you guys had some felons on board, it would be perfect.

10. Untrue
He isn't a psychotic leftist partisan like the rest of us, and so he did the normal thing and accepted a White House invitation. He was used as the poster boy for getting steroids out of sports. Frankly, I can't think of a better issue to stand up for if you're an athlete, regardless of the assjack at the podium.

17. Brady is Bush's boy
This article makes it sounds like Brady has not ever voted, yet he wants to run for president some day:

Sounds like a repub...
Tom's big moment on the national stage came via channeling Nancy Reagan, "just say no to steroids".
Sounds republican.
After Tom's last Super Bowl appearance, he blew off an invite to host a Kerry fundraiser saying he had a "scheduling conflict."
Sounds like a republican

9. The Sox lifted all our spirits
Human-driven miracles tend to do that. We won't forget it for a long, long time...which is just as well, considering.

And Will, did you invent "suck so bad they bend light"? That is just excellent and unfortunately a valid description of the current Celtics. Thankfully, it is no longer the description of the Red Sox pitching.

Here's to another year and perhaps more miracles, in sports and elsewhere...

11. I think I did
I've seen it used here since, but I claim the patent.

Used it to describe Bush back in 2001.

22. Bush 2001, eh? Appropriate, like a black hole
Crushes all in its grip to utter destruction and emits no light. Too bad you were so accurately prescient.

That's how my mind works at this hour -- so time to say good night.

You can smell it in Detroit...

The Lions will contend next season.

They are a Pride Ready To Pounce...

Just not this season...too early...

15. Remember, your QB cut his teeth right here in SE Michigan
at that one school where they wear the goofy helmets. Name escapes me, but Tom Brady is one class act, and he's a heck of a good QB too.
