Gatti vs Mayweather....
Tonight is the much anticipated fight between Arturo Gatti and Floyd Mayweather. Gatti is defending his Jr. Welterweight (aka "super lightweight")title in Atlantic City against the undefeated two-time world champion, Mayweather. Although the "title" they are fighting for isn't the real championship, it is expected that the winner will meet the real champion, Ricky Hatton.

I think it could be a tougher fight for Floyd than he anticipates. He throws his left hook in an odd way sometimes: his stance is a little too square to his opponent, and he brings it up while his chin is lifted a couple inches too high. (Watch pre-fight films; Gatti has!) I hope he is careful, and I expect him to take a decision.

Any other predictions?

1. I predict you'll be back here to give us a round-by-round recap
And I eagerly await it!

Damn, I wish they didn't charge so much for these pay-per-view fights.

Enjoy!

(And let us know how the fight goes. Your recap will probably be better than anything I can find on MSM.)

3. Mayweather by TKO-6
He was too fast, too strong, and just too good for Gatti.

Now, let's see Mayweather vs Hatton!

4. I think Gatti
landed less that 40 punches in the entire fight. It was the difference between a good fighter and a great boxer. After a couple rounds, the crowd became very quiet. They were there to cheer Gatti on, and Mayweather was winning so easily that I think Gatti fans were simply praying he would not get hurt too badly.

Both Hatton and Mayweather are peaking. Hatton may need a tune-up fight after his intense struggle to capture the crown. Mayweather came through without any damage at all.
