He went the distance winning 4-2 after giving up a home run to Melvin Mora in the 8th.

Cain faced a total of 31 batters, 4 over the minimum. Giants win the series 2-1.

1. The Rockies are done now.
Helluva run for part of the month, and another winning season, but living on the edge caught up to them over the last week. Last night's game was amazing (best game I've been to in years), but I think today showed that we're done. Making too many mistakes, producing nowhere near enough offense, and the pitching just hasn't been playoff-caliber. Maybe the Giants will be able to make some noise in the playoffs this year.

Good run, Rockies. I know they're not eliminated yet, but I gotta be realistic. Kudos on another good season boys. :applause:

2. You were there last night?
Mrs. Auggie and I were commenting what a great game it would be to see in person

3. I was indeed. Easily in the top 5 games I've ever been to.
Six lead changes, extra base hits, home runs, a large crowd, a playoff atmosphere, a late-inning rally, and an extra-inning walk-off win... That game had everything. One of the most exciting games I've ever been to. :)

4. It was my fault
The minute, the second I tuned into that game, he gave the first hit. My son has a theory that I mess up the Giants whenever I walk into his room when he's watching the game.

But when I watch it on another TV in the house, they win. Go figure! LOL

5. I was hoping that Cain would pitch a no-hitter then I would auction my ticket to you or Upton.
After all, there has only been one no-hitter ever at Colorado.

Cain blew his perfect game when he made an error by throwing a ball in the dirt to first. He then walked the next batter.

Never say it's over with the Rockies, but it practically is.

6. It was an awesome season series...
and very, very fun to follow.

Upton would have out-bid me. I'm broke.
