Gators' Rainey arrested for stalking
<snip>

"This can't be what Urban Meyer signed up for when he decided to come back to coaching after retiring for a day last December.

With his offense already struggling to find itself in the first two games, now he has one of the guys who was supposed to play a key role in that offense facing felony stalking charges.

Junior slot receiver Chris Rainey was arrested early Tuesday morning on a charge of aggravated stalking. According to police, Rainey sent a woman he'd been dating off and on for about three years a text that said, "Time to die." This was after Rainey went over to the woman's house and was told to leave.

Later, when an officer arrived at the woman's house, he told her to call Rainey so that he could talk with him. She said that when she told Rainey police wanted to speak with him, Rainey said, "Wait and see what happens when they leave."

Rainey was then arrested at his apartment and admitted to sending the text, but denied making the statement about waiting for the police to leave.

Either way, it's a mess and not exactly the kind of thing a team wants hanging over its head going into its SEC opener. Florida plays at Tennessee on Saturday."

1. No big news, the weekly Gator arrest
The charming Gator Nation is so concerned with the victim's well being they immediately threatened her via cell phone when the news broke. The woman says she's afraid of repercussions, not Rainey.

5. Die Bart die
Well Gators couldn't let Miami & Free Shoes be the only 2 schools in Fla that cheats. I would hazard a guess that Florida, the state, leads Texas, the state, in the cheating race. A gut feeling.

4. Well, they were already in hell,
but the media had our Lord and Savior to focus on so this crap was hushed up.

7. Surprise, another Gator in legal trouble
Edited on Wed Sep-15-10 02:47 PM by Awsi Dooger
Frankie Hammond Jr. was suspended during summer for DUI and possession. Two weeks ago he violated probation by driving to his DUI class. He wasn't allowed to drive. The dunce probably wouldn't have been caught except he used a motorcycle/moped and was pulled over for not wearing headgear.

You won't find much mention of it on the internet. Hammond was on the docket this morning. Naturally the Gator press and message boards are desperate to cover it up. Every time a Hammond thread is posted on their boards it is instantly deleted, despise this showing up today on the docket list for Frankie Hammond Jr.: https://www.alachuaclerk.org/court_records/gis/index.cfm?section=docket_list

09/15/2010 OBTS POST-COURT ENTRY

Mike & Mike had a funny line this morning. They said Meyer has 59 victories and 30 arrests at Florida. "As long as the first number is higher, he's okay."
