Poll question: How should "pitch invaders" be dealt with?
I just watch the passive response of the Baltimore PD with their field intruder. This is one end of the scale of how to respond. Of course, there are other ways of dealing with this. What do you think is the best way to deal with these situation?

Poll result (7 votes)
Shooting the intruder on the spot (3 votes, 43%)Vote
Tazering (0 votes, 0%)Vote
Cops armed with night sticks swarming and beating the intruder (0 votes, 0%)Vote
Player take down (see Ditka) (0 votes, 0%)Vote
Unneccesarily physical, but hilarous tackle by security (0 votes, 0%)Vote
The Baltimore PD (4 votes, 57%)Vote

1. maybe not tasering, but no one should be able to get near a player or coach
the kid in Baltimore got dangerously close to WAY too many Baltimore players. If he had a knife, there could have been catastrophic results. I don't think you need to taser the runner the moment he enters the field, but if the person starts running around the players, don't dare just stand there and let him/her. I guess the Baltimore PD forgot about that incident in Chicago, I think it was, where that father and son attacked the first base coach.

3. How about better deterrence?
Is it an automatic misdemeanor/trespass charge in all ballparks? I think it is in some.

I advocate no jail time but a hefty fine. And a lot of PR to discourage idiots from trying.
