JaMarcus Russell to the Jets?

The Jets recently added other players whose organizations have soured on them over character issues, including Braylon Edwards (Browns), Santonio Holmes (Steelers) and Antonio Cromartie (Chargers).

1. While the Raiders may have soured on Russell over character issues,

they SHOULD have soured on him over talent issues. He's not a good QB. I'm not sure why the Jets would want him. I'd say he doesn't fit into the Jets system, but bad QB's don't fit into any system. He's not a starter, he's not a "reliable backup" and he's been around long enough I'm not sure he's a good candidate as a "development project", especially since he'd be the oldest of the Jets QB's.

Russell would spend most of his time there riding the pine. (Hope they have reinforced benches. )
